The 16th International Conference on Modelling, Identification and Control (ICMIC 2024) is sponsored by North University of China (NUC), China. The co-sponsors are Shanxi Datong University (SDTU)  and Key Laboratory of Knowledge Automation for Industrial Processes of Ministry of Education, University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), China. lt provides an international forum for professionals, academics, and researchers over the world to present latest developments from interdisciplinary theoretical studies, computational algorithm developments and applications. lt particularly welcomes those emerging methodologies and techniques related to modeling, identification, signal processing and control, which bridge theoretical studies and applications in all engineering and science branches. ICMIC 2024 will be organized by North University of China (NUC) and Shanxi Datong University (SDTU), China. North University of China (NUC) was founded in 1941, formerly known as Taihang Industrial School, Taiyuan Institute of Machinery, North China Institute of Technology, and had the present name since 2004. NUC consists of 19 schools, offering 24 PhD programs, 65 Master programs and 85 Bachelor programs in engineering, science and chemistry rank among the top 1% in Essential Science Indicators (ESI) world-wide.

The conference will be held in Datong, the second largest city in Shanxi Province, which is known for its abundant historical relics and natural beauty. The renowned Hanging Monastery and Yungang Grottoes were originally constructed as far back as the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the ornate Nine-Dragon Screen built during the Ming Dynasty. Historians have claimed that the area was inhabited as early as 100,000 years ago by the Xujiayao man, said to be a descendant of Peking man.
